The GXL V2, the second ever wheel in the GSI lineup undergoes a complete transformation. It retains the same number of inputs and features as the FPE V2, but presents them in a sleek, screenless silhouette.
Swapping from a cheaper rim to this one, the difference in shift feel is night and day — crisp, no mushy travel. The screenless face keeps my eyes on the track instead of a display I'd never look at. Paired with the direct drive base, it's the most connected I've felt to a sim car.
The button layout on this rim feels way more intuitive than my old wheel, and every input is exactly where my thumbs naturally rest. I was worried about losing the screen but honestly don't miss it at all.
Paired the GXL V2 with the Simucube 2 Pro and the difference in feedback through the rim is night and day compared to my old belt-driven setup. The button layout keeps every input from the FPE V2, which made switching over painless, and the screenless face means zero distractions mid-race.
