X-29 + Simucube 2 Pro Bundle

The force feedback from this direct drive base is absurdly smooth compared to the belt-driven wheel I had before. Shifts through the paddle set feel crisp, though I did have to tweak the settings for a few hours before it clicked.

The shift paddles have a really crisp magnetic snap that makes every upshift feel deliberate, and the alcantara rim grips well even during longer sessions. Paired with the direct drive base, I'm catching slides I used to just spin out on.

The wheel rim itself feels solid and the button layout is easy to reach without looking. But after a few weeks the force feedback on the base started feeling a bit grainy compared to what I expected at this price. It works fine for casual laps, just not the jump in quality I was hoping for.
